Michael’s fitness philosophy is the perfect balance of functional mobility and strength training. You can expect a difficult workout in a friendly and supportive environment. I’ve tried everything from yoga to power lifting, but Michael’s personalized approach to my fitness goals has provided me with the results I’ve always wanted.
When Michael first asked me what I wanted out of this workout, my initial response was just to stay mobile as that can be a real struggle for people with my disability. However, over the last two months, I’ve not only stayed mobile, but I’ve become much stronger, I’m down a belt loop (Michael won’t let me weigh myself), and have started caring more about the food I’m eating. I remember when he first said he was hoping the gym would feel like family. I thought it a bit strange, but as time goes on, I really do feel that. McAlister Training is a modest space, but it surprises you with its quality, level of competency and heart which I feel really embodies this little part of the central coast
