You’ve spent the winter building your aerobic engine and logging base miles. Now, it’s time to upgrade the chassis.

The focus: Ride-specific movement

Whether you are chasing a PR on a local climb, preparing for a century, or looking to dominate the trails, aerobic fitness isn't enough. You need durability and power.

Progressive Programming

The McAlister Summit Cycling Strength Series is a specialized 4-week program designed to bridge the gap between the gym and the saddle. We focus on converting your raw strength into explosive power, ensuring you are ready for your fastest sprints, longest climbs, and rowdiest descents—without the back pain or fatigue that usually comes with early-season riding.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Structure: Strength Meets Schedule We know that as the weather clears, you want to be on your bike, not stuck inside. That is why we designed this schedule to complement your riding, not compete with it.

  • Days: Mondays & Thursdays @ 6:00 AM

  • Focus: Full Body Strength, Power Production, and Core Stiffness.

  • Group Size: Small Group (Max 6 Athletes) for personalized coaching.

The Approach:

  • Mondays (The Engine): We focus on heavy lower-body force and upper-body posture. This session is scheduled early in the week to maximize recovery before your weekend long rides.

  • Thursdays (The Chassis): We focus on unilateral stability, explosive power, and "anti-rotation" core work to keep you stable in the saddle.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We know that as the weather clears, you want to be on your bike, not stuck inside. That is why we designed this schedule to complement your riding, not compete with it.

  • Learn to generate force quickly (Power) to close gaps and punch up steep climbs.

  • Bulletproof your knees and lower back against the repetitive stress of high-mileage weeks.

  • A progressive 4-week block that increases intensity while managing fatigue, ensuring your legs stay fresh for your actual rides.

  • Train alongside fellow riders who share your goals.

INVESTMENT

Space is strictly limited to 6 riders to ensure high-quality coaching.

Current McAlister Members: $279 Add-on to your current Unlimited Membership. This includes the full 8-session specialty series. You retain full access to all other group classes, allowing you to maintain your routine while adding sport-specific focus.

Non-Members: $399 The perfect pre-season jumpstart. Includes the full 4-week Cycling Series (8 Sessions).

 

Meet your trainer: Brady Nations, CPT

For Brady, cycling started as a necessity—a way to rehab an injury—but quickly turned into an obsession. As the rehab miles turned into training miles, he found himself pushing for longer distances and harder efforts, eventually completing multiple century rides and seeking out endurance challenges across the Central Coast.

Brady creates his programming based on a simple philosophy: You don't ride to get fit; you get fit to ride.

"I am a huge proponent that strength training outside of the gym is the missing link for most riders. It’s not just about pushing more watts; it’s about durability. I want to help you build a body that can handle 5 hours in the saddle without falling apart, so you can enjoy the last mile as much as the first."
