Michelle was raised in Nipomo and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from California State University, Fresno.

Michelle grew up engaged in cross-country, track, and soccer. She began competing in cross-country races at 8 years old and competed in multiple USATF Junior Olympic Championship races.

After participating in soccer early in her high school career, she put the sport aside to focus on cross-country and track. Michelle was awarded a scholarship to Fresno State for cross-country and track, and received the MVP award in 2000 for her efforts during the cross-country season.

Most recently Michelle has been a competitive CrossFit® athlete, competing in the Professional Division (2017 and 2018) and the RX Division (2016) at the Granite Games in Minnesota on a team of three. Michelle has been a Level 1 CrossFit coach for the past five years and finds teaching and coaching group fitness to be very rewarding.

Michelle recently completed the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization Weightlifting course and is very excited to help our community learn how to incorporate breath into movement.

Holly was born and raised locally in San Luis Obispo and received her undergraduate degree from the University of California Irvine in Dance with a minor in Dance Medicine and Science. It was there she was introduced to Athletic Training and decided to pursue it as her career.

She furthered her education at California Baptist University where she obtained her Master’s degree in Athletic Training and then became a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer. Holly’s background includes working with a vast array of clients, including professional dancers, collegiate and high school athletes, industrial workers, and orthopedic clients–just to name a few. She currently works as PG&E’s Industrial Sports Medicine Professional.

As McAlister Training’s recovery specialist, Holly’s innate ability to communicate and provide clients with the utmost care is evident. Her focus on whole client care and healing makes her an essential (and awesome) member of the MT team.

Emily was raised in Santa Maria and received her undergraduate degree at California State University, Sacramento. Growing up, Emily was an avid soccer player and has since been involved in endurance running, yoga, CrossFit®, and circuit training.

Emily is both a certified personal trainer through the National Federation of Personal Trainers and has her Master’s degree in Sports and Fitness Nutrition. With expertise in both fitness and nutrition, Emily truly appreciates how the two go hand-in-hand—and helps clients do the same.

Emily’s energy and passion is evident in each and every class and one-on-one session. We couldn’t be more grateful to have her as both an instructor and personal trainer at McAlister Training.
